Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This policy explains how Avisenza collects, uses and protects personal information, in accordance with Quebec's Law 25, Canada's PIPEDA and, for American businesses and customers, state privacy laws (for example the CCPA in California).

2. Information collected

For customer businesses: name, email, business name and address, billing details (handled by Paddle — we never see your card number).

For the businesses' customers: the information the business or its customer enters into Avisenza (name, email, phone, appointments or files, survey answers). For this data, the business is responsible for the information and Avisenza acts as a service provider (processor) on its behalf, following its instructions.

Technical information (IP address, login logs) is used to keep the service secure.

3. Use

To provide the service, secure accounts, send necessary emails and text messages (login, invoices, review requests, appointment reminders) and answer your requests. We never sell personal information and do not do targeted advertising.

4. Emails and text messages

Messages sent to a business's customers are sent on behalf of that business. Promotions only go to people who accepted them. Every email contains an unsubscribe link; reply "STOP" to a text message to stop receiving them.

5. Hosting and providers

Data is hosted in Canada by OVH, with encrypted backups.

We use a few providers: Paddle (payments), Amazon Web Services (email delivery) and Twilio (text messages). These providers may process some information outside Quebec or Canada, under appropriate contractual safeguards.

6. Retention

Information is kept while the account is active, then deleted or anonymized within a reasonable time, unless the law requires us to keep it.

7. Your rights

You may request access to, correction or deletion of your information, and withdraw your consent. A business's customers should contact that business first; we will help it respond.
